British rider Ruth Edge achieved the feat of retaining the title she gained last year winning this year's British Eventing British Open Championship incoporating the HSBC FEI World Cup Eventing Qualifer TM at The Festival of British Eventing presented by BETA.

British rider Ruth Edge's decision to ride her long-time partner, the 15 year old Two Thyme, in the HSBC FEI World Cup TM Eventing qualifier at Gatcombe paid off handsomely when she scored a decisive victory on the last weekend of the series

Former British National Champion Polly Stockton is the winner of the Smith and Williamson British Intermediate Championship at The Festival of British Eventing presented by BETA.

Former British Open Champion Clayton Fredericks added to his tally of Gatcombe titles winning the Dodson and Horrell Novice Championship with Bendigo III at the Festival of British Eventing presented by BETA.

Kitty Boggis and Boondoggle were the first winners of The Festival of British Eventing presented by BETA, heading the first of two advanced sections.

There was virtually nothing to split the top two in the five year old section of the Burghley Dubarry Young Event Horse which was ultimately awarded to Nick Gauntlett and Akela above Abi Walters and Loughnatousa Oolite. Both horses qualified for the finals at Burghley next month.

Australian Sam Griffith and Outward Bound were the winners of the Burghley Dubarry Young Event Horse qualifier held at the Festival of British Eventing, presented by BETA.

From Friday 21st until Sunday 23rd of August 2009, Poland will be in the spotlight of international top level Eventing when for the first time ever a country from Eastern Europe will be hosting a HSBC FEI World CupTM Final.
